TikTok Data Use

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains how PristGem Social Workspace plans to use TikTok API for Business data and actions for authorized TikTok Business account owners.

Purpose

We plan to use TikTok API for Business to help authorized users manage their own organic TikTok presence, view owned video analytics, and manually manage comments on their own TikTok videos.

Data we may access

CategoryPurpose
Authorized account informationTo show users which TikTok Business account is connected and to manage account-level authorization.
Owned video metadataTo display organic videos owned by the authorized account, including captions, thumbnails, video IDs, and publish-related metadata.
Owned video metricsTo show performance metrics such as views, likes, comments, shares, and engagement data for owned videos.
Owned video commentsTo allow users to view and manually manage comments on their own TikTok videos.
API status and errorsTo troubleshoot API requests, maintain audit trails, and support user-initiated workflows.

Comment management actions

Users may be able to manually view comments, reply to comments, like or unlike comments, hide or unhide comments, and delete comments created by the authorized account. These actions are initiated by the user inside our platform and are limited to accounts and videos that the user is authorized to manage.

What we do not do

Data storage

We store only the minimum information required for authorized workflows, security, audit logs, and troubleshooting. TikTok credentials are treated as sensitive credentials and protected with appropriate access controls.

Data deletion

Users can request deletion of platform data and disconnection of TikTok account data through the process described on our Data Deletion page.
